K Show Recap: Hammer-IMS Drives Precision in Plastics Quality Control

Düsseldorf, Germany – Hammer-IMS recently participated in the K show in Düsseldorf, the world's largest international trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry. We were very pleased with the turnout and the quality of the conversations we had with industry professionals. The event provided an excellent platform to discuss the ongoing need for high-precision, non-nuclear quality control solutions in a rapidly evolving market.

Demonstrating Core Measurement Capabilities

Our exhibit showcased our commitment to advanced, contactless measurement technology with a display of our flagship systems:

  • Marveloc-CURTAIN-C System: This robust thickness and basis weight system was on site, demonstrating the versatility of our multi-sensor approach. It integrated our L-Ray (Laser) for highly accurate thickness measurement and the M-Ray (Millimeter-wave) sensor for non-nuclear basis weight measurement. This combination highlighted a cleaner, more sustainable alternative to traditional radioactive gauges.
  • Edge-Vision-4.0 Demo System: We also featured our Edge-Vision system, illustrating its role in surface inspection for continuous monitoring of material surface. This technology helps manufacturers quickly identify defects and maintain quality across the full product width.

Introducing the Marveloc-CHARIOT System

A major point of interest was the video introduction of our new Marveloc-CHARIOT system.

The CHARIOT is a compact and affordable solution, specifically designed for applications where space is limited, such as retrofitting existing extrusion lines. Its single-traveling sensor unit minimizes the machine footprint without sacrificing measurement quality.

This system, featuring a U-Ray (Ultrasonic) head, is perfectly suited for highly accurate thickness measurement of thin plastics, including both transparent and non-transparent films. The U-Ray technology offers a high-performance solution for specialized applications, such as thin film and battery foil production, where precision on challenging materials is critical.

Thank You

We extend our sincere thanks to all the visitors who took the time to stop by our booth. The inspiring conversations about process optimization and sustainable manufacturing underscored the importance of reliable, real-time quality control.

We look forward to continuing these discussions and supporting your efforts to achieve a new level of precision in your production processes.
