Sustainable inline basis-weight gauge for coated textiles
The preferred workaround if you are tired of using radiative gauges (nuclear, beta istopes, or x-ray)
Hammer-IMS provides coating weight measurements for both calender and knife-coating processes. This type of solutions:
- do not require emission licenses since we do not use radiating isotopes or x-ray;
- are harmless;
- work at a high measurement stand-off distance, avoiding scratches on non-cured (wet) applied coating layers;
- work on any polymer material with all industry-relevant additives: carbon black, BaSO4, TiO2;
- are the only alternative to nuclear gauging that keep their measurement accuracy of 1 gsm even for these high stand-off distances;
- can control knifes (doctor blades) actuators providing automatic feedback to the coating process;
- are ideal for high-throughput technical textile coating lines based on calendering;
- Are supporting visualizations of cylic and periodic coating weight problems;
- can be realized in an ATEX-compliant version;
- can generate automatic test reports which can be shipped along to your customers;
- display measurement data in Hammer-IMS's intuitive control software.
